A Private Husky Adventure on Wheels
A completely private experience at our small-scale husky farm, far from the crowds around Tromsø. Join us as a driver or passenger and discover the everyday life of our Alaskan huskies.
Reaching us by public transport is easy and scenic: travel by bus from Tromsø to Bardufoss, enjoying fjords, mountains and Arctic landscapes along the way. We collect you in Bardufoss and bring you to the farm.
During the snow-free season, the dogs train with wheeled karts instead of sleds. After a clear safety briefing, your guide selects, prepares and harnesses a team of 6–8 dogs. You can drive the kart yourself, share the driving with someone in your group, or enjoy the journey as a passenger with your guide.
We follow quiet trails through the boreal forest surrounding our farm. The team, route, pace and time on the trail are always adapted to the temperature, conditions and how the dogs are feeling that day. Their welfare always comes first.
During the journey, we stop along the trail for a warm Norwegian lunch around a wood fire, usually reindeer soup, with hot drinks and dietary alternatives arranged in advance. Afterwards, we continue with the dogs before returning to the farm, where there is time to help unharness them and get to know them better. The complete private experience lasts approximately four hours at the farm, excluding travel. The route and time spent moving depend on conditions and the dogs’ wellbeing.
OffTrack Experience also offers private overnight stays at the husky farm for guests who would like more time with the dogs. Accommodation is booked separately.

There is no fixed minimum age. Please contact us before booking if you are travelling with children under 10, so we can adapt the experience safely and comfortably for your family.
