Leave the crowds behind and spend time with the dogs at our small, family-run husky farm. Your booking has its own guide, so we can adapt the experience to your group, whether you are an adventurous couple, a family with children, or someone who would rather enjoy the trail as a passenger.
Meet our pack of around 35 Alaskan huskies, learn how we care for and work with them, and receive a practical introduction before setting off. You can drive a dog team, take turns with someone in your group, or ride with your guide. No previous experience is needed. Driving involves helping the dogs uphill and controlling the sled downhill; let us know in advance if you would prefer a gentler way to participate.

Travel through quiet forest and mountain scenery at a pace that suits the dogs and the conditions. During the journey, we usually stop on the trail for reindeer soup around a wood fire. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free alternatives can be arranged with advance notice.
Back at the farm, you can help unharness the dogs before warming up in our log cabin with coffee or tea and homemade cake. The complete experience lasts approximately four hours at the farm, excluding travel. The route and time spent moving vary with the snow, weather, trail conditions and the dogs’ wellbeing.
You can drive to the farm in Målselv or travel from Tromsø by public bus. Bus tickets are separate; for guests arriving by bus, the return transfer between the confirmed local bus stop and our farm is included. We also offer private overnight stays at the husky farm, booked separately.

What makes our tours different
Private groups & personal atmosphere
We keep our groups private to create a more relaxed, immersive and personal experience, together with your own guide.
More time on the trail
The route and time on the trail vary with the snow, conditions and our dogs’ wellbeing. We leave plenty of time to enjoy the journey and our stop around the fire.
Meet real working Alaskan huskies
Our dogs are not just part of the experience — they are family, athletes and adventure companions.
Scenic Arctic surroundings
The journey to the kennel itself is beautiful, with fjords, mountains and Arctic landscapes along the way.
Local food around the fire
During the tour, we gather around the fire for hot drinks and a warm meal or homemade snack while the dogs rest nearby.
